Sunday, Oct. 2 — 3 Tenors From Around the World: A Tribute to Mario Lanza, 5 p.m., Mechanics Hall, 321 Main St.  In the journalism world — such as it is these days — we professionals live by several tenets. Chief among them: Don’t bury the lead, i.e., get to the point! Here goes: The tenors are nice and the Lanza tribute is great, and all, but the star of this show will undoubtedly be special guest soloist Jane Shivick, a Holy Name and Assumption grad renowned for her arresting soprano delivery as one of the region’s finest songstresses.
