Thanks to the presidential election, and modern American politics in general — which is really no kind of politics at all, just a junior high student council election on interminable loop — the right and the left are further apart than ever. Conversations are sharper. Friendships fractured, even, as hyperbole never takes a day off.
So, here we are, less than a month from a pivotal election for the state and the nation. Hitch puts on his pollster hat and tests the water on one of the Bay State’s divisive ballot questions.
