The state released a somewhat curious audit last week that seemed to revolve around wasteful administrative practices at MassHealth — but which also took a particular interest in longstanding Worcester social service agency CENTRO, run by local pot-stirrer Juan Gomez.
“$300,000 in double billings” was the headline, but the state found a litany of other borderline spending by the organization and ordered more than $57,000 in repayments.

In a brief statement, the organization deflected criticism. But we needed more, so Hitch went ahead and put some words in Gomez’s mouth.
