The Worcester Columbus Day Parade Committee announced that Robert F. Pezzella, director of school safety for the Worcester Public Schools, has been named Grand Marshal of this year’s 22nd annual parade.

Pezzella will be honored as “Outstanding Italian” at the Grand Marshal’s Banquet on Sept. 17 at The Manor, 42 West Boylston St, West Boylston. Cocktail hour begins at 6 p.m, dinner at 7:30. Tickets are $45.
