There’s a lot going on in the city. Many of the events don’t need our help in drawing a crowd, but some do. Here’s our take on some of this week’s most worthwhile events.

Sunday, Sept. 27 — Wings of Freedom World War II aircraft show, 10 a.m.-4:30 p.m., Worcester Regional Airport, 375 Airport Drive When pops says America doesn’t make things like it used to, this is what the ol’ codger is talking about. Check out the Collings Foundation’s tour stop at the airport, featuring legendary aircraft such as the B-17 Flying Fortress and P-51C Mustang. If you have an extra few hundred bucks lying around, you could get yourself airborne (a couple grand gets your hands on the dual controls of the Mustang!). Reservations for Flight Experiences are “highly recommended,” per the website, though no indication whether the pun was intended. The Sun is working to confirm.
